Professional Background

Dr. Ashwani Sharma is an Associate Professor of Interventional Radiology at University of Rochester Medical Center. He completed his medical degree at Maulana Azad Medical College at Delhi University, India. His residency training included programs in Radiodiagnosis and Neuroradiology. Dr. Sharma...
Dr. Ashwani Sharma is an Associate Professor of Interventional Radiology at University of Rochester Medical Center. He completed his medical degree at Maulana Azad Medical College at Delhi University, India. His residency training included programs in Radiodiagnosis and Neuroradiology. Dr. Sharma's fellowships were obtained at University of Rochester Medical Center in Neuroradiology and Interventional Radiology.

Dr. Sharma is the Director of Interventional Oncology in Imaging Sciences and his current research activities include Y90 in primary and secondary liver tumors.
He is also currently working on the role of PDT in body abscesses. His other special interests include varicose vein treatments and transplant interventions. In addition, he has made presentations at several national meetings, published articles in medical journals and several web cases.
