Originally from Long Island, Dr. Picca first moved to upstate New York for an undergraduate degree at Siena College. He then attended medical school at Albany Medical College where he graduated with honors. His residency training then took place in Philadelphia at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he also served as Chief Resident during his last year there. Dr Picca became Board Certified in Family Medicine after completing his residency in 2007. He joined Honeoye Valley Family Practice in August of 2007. He also serves as a Community preceptor for medical students from the University of Rochester.

Dr Picca's professional interests include a focus on primary prevention of disease, building long lasting relationships with his patients and their families and in office procedures. He also believes in the importance of medical education and will periodically have medical students with him. "Helping my patients make the best health care decisions for themselves is the primary goal of my practice."

In his personal life, he is married and is blessed with an energetic and fun loving little boy. When he is not changing diapers or mowing the lawn, he also enjoys the challenge of golf and the delicious pleasure of wine tasting.
