Laurie Johnson graduated from Wagner College with a BSN. She worked in the PICU seeing it transition from a 6 bed unit off 4-1600 to its own unit. She then was a nurse in The Pediatric Outpatient Department along with working for Community Telephone Triage. She graduated with her MSN and did a short stint at LongPond Pediatrics before returning to Strong in Hematology/Oncology. She is currently in Pediatric Pulmonology and started her 40th year at SMH in February 2026.
