Susan Guffey is a Nurse Practitioner with more than twenty years of experience in Primary Care. She received her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Rochester and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Binghamton University, SUNY. She earned her national board recognition as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center in 2003 and has remained certified ever since.
Philosophy
Susan takes a holistic approach to healthcare and the care of her patients. She enjoys working with each patient individually to achieve optimal health at each life stage. Her care focuses on health promotion and healthy lifestyle to prevent disease and disease progression.
Special Interests
In addition to Family Medicine, Susan’s interests include health promotion and disease prevention and diabetes.
On a Personal Note
In her free time, Susan enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband, son, and daughter, as well as their dog and cat. She enjoys volunteering with local groups and being active on PTAs at her kids’ schools. She enjoys travel, local hikes, kayaking and cross-country skiing in the winter.
