Responsibilities include elevating nursing practice, hiring and mentoring nurse managers, supporting staff through clinic and practice changes, operationally providing input to clinical practice needs, developing nursing teams, understanding EMR integration and individual practice needs, and speaking to the nuances of ambulatory nursing and staffing.

Involved in growing and managing 14 new oncology practices each with unique needs from standalone independent practices to collaborating with expanding services within hospitals, understanding staffing contracts, and providing consistency and standardization to oncology practices across our sites with measured outcomes and reporting metrics. Currently 11 direct reports, approximately 115 FTEs.

Building nursing teams across a large catchment area. Collectively Wilmot Cancer Institute Nursing is Tier 1. Two sites are Tier 2 and one site advanced from Tier 3 to Tier 1. Leader index reflects a high leader-employee engagement.

Collaboration with Thompson leadership to transition Thompson IV infusion to Wilmot Sands Infusion Center.

Developed referral process for non-oncology infusion medications.

Instrumental in creating a nursing/hospital process for UR Home Infusion to provide home chemotherapy dispensing.

2020 COVID Reassignment Team, coordination between ambulatory and inpatient nursing reassignment, communication, assessment, and training needs.
