Carolyn is the Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider Educator and also works clinically in the Neonatal ICU and Newborn Nursery.
Carolyn has six years of RN experience, five of which were spent in our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit/Pediatric Cardiac Care Center. Concurrently, Carolyn spent a year working as one of our institution's Pediatric Clinical Resource Nurses. After completing her Pediatric Nurse Practitioner degree, she accepted a position in our Level IIID NICU. Carolyn always retained her passion for caring for children with complex congenital heart disease. After a year in the NICU a position for a Nurse Practitioner in Pediatric Cardiology/Electrophysiology became available and she was honored to step into that role where she has remained for 6 years. In the summer of 2021, a position became available as the Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider Educator, which she made the transition to step into. In 2022 I decided to go back to part-time clinical work in the NICU.
