Doctor doesn't listen to symptoms [...]

All very good [...]

Dr. Schmale has been a wonderful support for me during the past 2 years that he has treated me. He listens. He understands. He's honest. He gives me options. He reassures me and calms my fears. He's a cheerleader and advocate to get the best care for yourself whether it's with him or someone else. I felt totally at ease when he did my brain surgery. I'm complicated, but he was up for the challenge. Glad to be his patient.

Feb 21, 2023

Information was plentiful. Empathy was lacking.

Feb 15, 2023

Provider was dismissive of some of my input and recommended a flexible scope w/out informing me of the additional cost I would incur.

Jan 10, 2023

Provider did not listen, acted like my primary should not have referred me, wanted to get me out of there as fast possible. Had an attitude that I shouldn't see an ENT, even though my conditions involve my nose and throat. [...]

He is a very smart man!!!!

Provider was not very willing to talk about my problem.

Oct 19, 2022

The provider reviewed a CT scan from six years ago. He showed me these images during my visit. Obviously that tells us what was going on six years ago, long before the problem started. He could have viewed MRIs from last year but suggested they were difficult to interpret. He could have ordered new scans but didn't. Made me feel like there were a lot of assumptions. [...]

[...] He made me feel stupid and shoes no concern [...] I will not be seeing this provider again.

Jul 08, 2022

Dr. Was very thorough and attentive. Excellent.

Great customer service from the provider

Apr 03, 2022

He should tone down the arrogance and turn up the respect and compassion. He was borderline rude, and I left feeling I was a waste of his time. He had me diagnosed before examining me, reluctantly used a camera to prove he was. One of the things he said during his lecture afterward left me so stunned I stood up, put my sweater on and left. I can't believe I will be paying for this service. I don't know that my diagnosis would have been any different but the experience left me disheartened to say the least.

Mar 28, 2022

Visits have been hurried; provider should give patient time to speak/respond before interrupting. Also not much instruction in explaining conditions, pros and cons of options and asking questions I did not feel a sense of "connection" to me as a person. [...]

Feb 21, 2022

He was condescending. I did not feel he respected my prior medical history and my personal knowledge of my own situation even after explaining how my issue was corrected in the first place.
