About Me
I am passionate about providing care that is individualized to the patient to maximize function and recovery, through both surgical and non-surgical methods. Education is key to my practice, making sure that no questions are left unanswered and that patients truly understand their disease, injury, and treatment options. My zest for education extends to physicians as well, as I am heavily involved in education of the next generation of orthopaedic and plastic surgery residents and fellows. I am one of the associate program directors for the orthopaedic surgery residency and currently am the interim division chief of hand surgery. My goal is to provide safe, effective, advanced care to all my patients.

Dr. Wilbur was recommended to me by a friend who is also experiencing problems with her hands. I had previous surgery on the same hand and it was not a pleasant experience. Dr. Wilbur was extremely patient with me and even drew on a copy of my hand Xray to fully explain why I had the pain and what she could do to alleviate it. No pun intended but I felt like I was in extremely good hands.

Dr. Wilbur is amazing. She has a great personality and isn't afraid to show it or be personable with her patients. She asks questions, thoroughly explains anatomy as it relates and pertains to your condition, pain, injury. She listens and answers questions her patients questions and is happy to repeat information if not digested the first time. She has a plan for treatment which involves and includes her patients in decision-making about treatment and after care. She is understanding and very bright. I'm thrilled that she is my doctor!

Both Andrew Hamm, DO and Danielle Wilbur, MD were very nice and helpful! Everyone at URMC Orthopedics and Rehabilitation at Strong West was very busy, but still took the time to be friendly and listen. It really is a great team! Dr. Wilbur put me at ease right away and explained everything very clearly!

My provider could easily be a better teacher than half the professors at [...]. When I left appointments I felt very knowledgeable about my health condition, with her explaining not only what was wrong but why it was wrong in great detail that was easy to understand. While I am not a nursing student, I walked away from each appointment feeling well versed in nursing criteria.

Dr Wilbur sat with me for 20 mins. She listened and answered all my questions And concerns about my wrist/arm break. I even had one more question after she left the room. I opened the door and looked out. Dr Wilbur was down the hall and walked right towards me and took my question. Really thankful to have her as my doctor

Doctor Wilbur, is a outstanding doctor. She cares about her patients. She explains things and if can shows you how this will help you. Explains everything she is going to do. Doctor Wilbur is a doctor who wants to see her patients go back to as much of a normal life/work life as possible. I would percent recommend doctor Wilbur to my family and friends. If I ever need to see doctor Wilbur again I would definitely see her again if I ever have a wrist/hand problem.
