Erin Barker, MD, is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Critical Care at the University of Rochester and a national leader in pediatric quality improvement and clinical informatics. She serves as Associate Director of Informatics and Medical Director for Inpatient Quality and Safety at Golisano Children’s Hospital, where she leads multidisciplinary initiatives focused on improving patient outcomes, safety, and system reliability. Her work centers on the design and implementation of data-driven quality improvement programs, including ICU liberation, delirium prevention, and reduction of hospital-acquired conditions, alongside advancing data literacy and clinical decision support through Epic-based analytics and informatics infrastructure.
