I am a board certified, and fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in total hip and knee replacement. I have been in independent practice since 2012 and have performed thousands of successful hip and knee replacement surgeries for patients. Some of these surgeries are revision/redo/second joint replacements sent to the University of Rochester for problems following the first surgery.

My goal is to keep patient’s mobile with the most reasonable nonoperative and operative treatment options. I work closely with a team of professions in the office and the operating room to bring world class total joint care to my patients using the most up to date knowledge. I stay current in advances in total joint replacement by taking part in a number of local and national committees and societies focused on total joint surgery. I look forward to the opportunity to treat you or your family member!

Dr. Myers was potentially nice but I wish he could have slowed down a bit vs fast talked. I felt like a cog in a line. He said a few times that he was very busy and this added to my anxiety and I felt pretty rushed which also added to my not being able to ask and get all my questions answered. [...] Dr Myers also referred me to a spine Dr but vague on who to see. [...] I am still confused on who to follow up w/ after the other consultations. Dr. Myers said I could use Mychart but that he would not have time to answer.

There was a lot of information on my after visit summary about things they said we discussed at the appointment, and we hadn't discussed almost any of those things. I wish he had brought them up at the appointment. He asked if I had any questions, but I guess I didn't know what to ask at the time. It would have been nice if he had brought up all those issues so that I could let him know my concerns.

Good

Mar 29, 2023

1.8

Dr. Myers has a very difficult time acknowledging any unfavorable conditions and outcomes that come from a surgery. He appears to be more concerned with statistics and ensuring he has a check in the "Excellent Outcome" box. Conversations in private in the office do not reflect the same level of interest in his notes. Anything new that may cause additional conditions are immediately dismissed as "never seen before" to the point it makes the patient feel less than acknowledge or questioned in a way that just compounds the recovery pathway.

Dr. Myers is an excellent surgeon which is the most important thing. He is very business like and answers all questions. A little more friendly demeanor would go a long way with patients. Fortunately, his NP Zack Lamb with whom I spent most of the time with is very knowledgeable and has an excellent patient demeanor. Dr. Myers did surprise me by calling me the day before surgery on [...], to see how I was doing. I found that to be comforting to know he took the time to call has patients prior to surgery. I am very satisfied with Dr. Myers work as a surgeon and his staff. They appear to work very well together as a team. I would definitely recommend him as an outstanding surgeon.
