About Me
There are a lot of patients who have anxiety about their diagnosis or the perceived treatment. Some patients have embarrassment and do not want to show me what the problem is. I want patients to know that their goals are my goals. I take the time to get to know my patients and customize each person’s treatment plan to meet their needs. I explain why they are experiencing foot pain and offer nonsurgical and surgical treatment options. It is gratifying when a patient comes to my office for treatment and feels better immediately afterward.
Patients let us into their lives and share a problem with us. My goal is to help them accomplish a goal, alleviate pain, or get better in some way.

My wife and I met with Dr. Mike Gruttadauria. I am the patient, my wife assists me due to my cognitive decline communication issues (though with time to fill out a form I can do okay). I have no negative comments to make). My summation is that DPM Michael Gruttadauria strikes me as being of the highest caliber.

Dr. Gruttadauria ensures you are connected with him as a patient during every visit to discuss today's issues and tips on improving overall health. His approach and bedside manner are excellent, especially when many systems just see patients as $ and move them quickly. The office staff is also very approachable and welcoming.

Dr. Gruttadauria is an exceptional Dr. He was patient, kind and LISTENED to my concerns. He also took time to educate me about the condition I saw him for, laid out the options for care and gave me a chance to think, ask questions and decide. He is HEAD AND SHOULDERS ABOVE other U of R providers I've dealt with in the last 2 months..not within his office but still U of R. He is SUPERIOR.

Dr. G is simply excellent in every way. He is skillful, careful, and empathetic. I have what I would term as problem feet, coupled with osteoarthritis that makes it difficult for me to take care of nails. I have a painful bone spur on one toe, in spite of using toe separators. Dr. G is able to treat this with careful shaving of the area (no pain in this process). I rely on daily walking to maintain fitness, and I feel that my feet are essential to my walking and my overall well-being. Thus, there is no provider on whom I rely more for keeping me active.

I'm just on the edge of being diabetic, and am told it's important to watch the feet for potential trouble. So far so good! Dr. Gruttadauria cut off some of the caluses on my tows, which was needed.
