About Me
Her clinical background includes experience in reproductive and sexual health, before specializing in breast care. She has worked at the Breast Care Center and the Hispanic Breast Cancer Clinic at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a Harvard teaching hospital in Boston. Karina now serves as a Nurse Practitioner in Breast Surgery at the Pluta Cancer Center.
Karina is a Certified Breast Care Nurse (CBCN) through the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation and holds certification as a Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA), allowing her to assist in the operating room and support her breast cancer patients throughout surgical treatment. She is an active member of both the American Society of Breast Surgeons and the Oncology Nursing Society. She is also fluent in Spanish, allowing her to provide compassionate and culturally competent care to diverse patient populations.
