de Urioste spent 10 years at Geneva General Hospital where she advocated for pharmacy involvement in nursing education, critical care meetings, medical staff meetings, and developed their antimicrobial stewardship program which gained recognition by the CDC. She joined UR Medicine's Department of Pharmacy and is working towards achieving a unit-based model for internal medicine pharmacy specialists.
