Kate M. Kokanovich, PharmD, BCCCP, earned a doctorate of pharmacy degree from Wegmans School of Pharmacy at St. John Fisher College after completing a bachelor of arts degree at Colgate University in Hamilton, NY. She completed a PGY1 pharmacy practice and PGY2 Emergency Medicine residency at Strong Memorial Hospital.

She is currently working as the Clinical Pharmacy Specialist for Emergency Medicine. She serves as a preceptor for APPE students from several different pharmacy schools as well as PGY1 and PGY2 residents in the UR Medicine Emergency Department, and is the PGY2 Emergency Medicine Residency director. She also participates in interdisciplinary education including facilitating organization-wide mock code simulations, trauma simulations, and trauma skills education for emergency medicine nurses.
