Hailing from the great state of Wisconsin, King has always called the Midwest home. He made his first venture east when he attended Union College for his undergraduate education, majoring in Biology and Psychiatry. At Union, he was part of the Leadership in Medicine program, also completing an MBA in Healthcare Management before matriculating directly to Albany Medical College to complete his MD. There, he met his now fiancée (a current Infectious Diseases Fellow at URMC) and couples matched to URMC.

King was drawn to our program's commitments to collaboration, resident education, well-being, patient safety and quality improvement. He also loved that Rochester reminded him of the Midwest, and how it immediately felt like home! He explored his clinical interests further by both completing the resident distinction track in Quality Improvement and obtaining his title of Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS).

Outside of the hospital, you can find King watching his favorite soccer team (Chelsea FC), listening to early 2000s alternative music (recently attending his 20th Fall Out Boy concert), or playing with his two Guinea pigs (Comet and Chester)!
