I recently completed a Family Medicine Residency at The Wright Center for GME in partnership with Unity Healthcare, Washington, DC. I hold a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed a Post-Baccalaureate Premedical Program at the University of Virginia. My educational background also includes a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Boston University. I am certified in BLS, ACLS, and PALS, and can speak basic Spanish.

PHILOSOPHY
I find joy in getting to know my patients, serving as an advocate, and working together to help them achieve their health goals.

I came to my initial appointment prepared with a list of health concerns, but I left feeling that none were meaningfully addressed. [...] Overall, it felt like my PCP was more interested in completing her list of questions, than taking the time to understand or help with my issues.I was also told I needed bloodwork, but no one explained how to schedule it or where to go. Every other PCP I've seen either has a nurse draw blood during the visit or arranges it directly. [...] this lack of follow-up and clarity was surprising and frustrating [...].

I highly recommend this Dr. Silberstein. She listened with care, talked about options, and seemed hopeful on my behalf re. THe arthritis pain I discussed with her. I brought my female spouse (of 38 years) along so we could meet her together, and Dr. S seemed perfectly comfortable. We're both happy that Dr. Borghi, our PCP for 35 years, assigned us to her.
