I am an Assistant Professor in Clinical Orthopaedics and a dual-fellowship-trained orthopaedic trauma surgeon and sports medicine surgeon. I provide comprehensive care of hip pathology from congenital, traumatic, athletic, and degenerative conditions using open and minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques. I also provide specialized care for complex issues that benefit from my unique background of fellowship training involving orthopaedic trauma and sports medicine, including hip and pelvis osteotomies, cartilage restoration of the hip and knee, periprosthetic fractures, minimally invasive hip arthroscopy, complex hip joint reconstruction, revision surgery, anterior hip arthroplasty, and fracture care. I additionally have experience caring for college and professional athletic organizations.
I am originally from Northern California and in my free time I enjoy long distance hiking, canyoneering, cooking, and spending time with family.

I have written numerous articles for professional journals and co-authored chapters for orthopaedic textbooks. I have participated in poster and podium presentations to local, national, and international medical and scientific societies. I have strong interests in both clinical and biomechanical research aimed at finding solutions for patients with challenging congenital, traumatic, athletic, and degenerative conditions of the pelvis, hip, and lower extremity. I am actively involved in research projects such as Evaluating Femoroacetabular Contact Stress in Posterior Wall Acetabulum Fractures Associated with Marginal Impaction. I am particularly interested in functional outcome measures within post-traumatic hip injuries and hip preservation surgery.
