Dr. Rebecca Ellis is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Rochester. She completed her internal medicine residency and chief residency at University of Washington, followed by fellowships in palliative care and addiction medicine at UPMC. Dr. Ellis practices palliative care both in the hospital and office settings. Dr. Ellis is passionate about increasing access to palliative care for marginalized groups, and she is particularly interested in improving the care of patients living with serious illness and substance use disorders. Her clinical and research interests lie at the intersection of serious illness communication, pain and symptom management, addiction, and harm reduction.
