About Me

Dr. Wang brings expertise in laparoscopic and robotic general surgery and treats a wide range of conditions including gallbladder disease, hernias, anorectal disorders, colon and stomach conditions, skin cancer, skin and soft tissue infections, and upper and lower endoscopy procedures.

Dr. Wang brings expertise in laparoscopic and robotic general surgery and treats a wide range of conditions including gallbladder disease, hernias, anorectal disorders, colon and stomach conditions, skin cancer, skin and soft tissue infections, and upper and lower endoscopy procedures.

Dr. Wang earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and holds a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University at Buffalo. He completed his General Surgery Residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center, graduating in 2025.

Dr. Wang’s research experience spans surgical innovation and clinical outcomes. He has contributed to the development of surgical stapling protocols with Medtronic to improve staple line durability and hemostasis and has conducted clinical research on postoperative imaging following esophagectomy and prognostic radiologic features in non–small cell lung cancer.

Throughout his academic and professional career, Dr. Wang has demonstrated leadership and a commitment to education, serving as Editor-in-Chief of the Emory Undergraduate Research Journal, President of Alpha Epsilon Delta Pre-Medical Honor Society, and a dedicated tutor and teaching assistant. He is the recipient of the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism in Medicine Resident Teaching Award and has been recognized for both academic excellence and research achievement.
