About Me

Dr. Juan Guerrero is a radiologist specializing in breast imaging. He earned his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. After completing a transitional year program at the San Juan City Hospital, he completed diagnostic radiology residency with the University of Alabama at Birmingham in the Radiology Clinical Education Pathway. He completed a breast imaging fellowship with Emory University School of Medicine.

Dr. Guerrer-Calderon has special interest in expanding breast imaging and reducing health disparities for underserved populations, including people with disabilities, in the US and globally. He has contributed to global health by supporting breast radiology programs in Tanzania, Guyana, and Peru. He strengthened and expanded an observer ship program in Atlanta, GA to further train radiologist from Guyana, Tanzania, Ghana, and Indonesia. Currently he serves as director of RAD-AID Peru.

He is active in numerous radiology associations and has served in several leadership positions including chair of the Women and Diversity Subcommittee of the American College of Radiology (ACR) Resident and Fellows Section (RFS), and member of the Executive Committee ACR RFS and ACR Young and Early Career Professional Section (YPs).

He is Breast Imaging Fellowship Director at the University of Rochester.
