Elias Elias, MD, MPH, MSc, is a board-certified neurosurgeon with expertise in the treatment of brain and spine disorders, specializing in complex and minimally invasive spine surgery. He is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurosurgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center and a full-time neurosurgeon with Centralus Health at Arnot Ogden Hospital, where he provides advanced neurosurgical care to patients throughout the Southern Tier.

Dr. Elias earned his medical degree from the American University of Beirut, where he also completed his neurosurgery residency, a Master of Public Health, and a Master of Science in Neuroscience. He further advanced his training by completing two prestigious AO spine fellowships in complex and minimally invasive spine surgery at the Swedish Neuroscience Institute in Seattle and the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Before joining the University of Rochester Medical Center and Centralus Health, he served as Assistant Professor of Neurological Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and Chief of Neurosurgery at the VA North Texas Healthcare System. He also practiced in private practice in Hawaii prior to joining his current position.

Dr. Elias is an active member of several internationally recognized spine and neurosurgical organizations, including the Scoliosis Research Society (SRS), an invitation-based society recognizing leaders in spinal deformity, the AO Spine Deformity Knowledge Forum, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS), and the North American Spine Society (NASS), where he collaborates with experts to advance research and innovation in spinal deformity and spine surgery.

Dr. Elias has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications, with research interests focused on patient-related outcome measures after spine surgery, and remains dedicated to advancing the field of neurosurgery through clinical care, research, and education. He is a frequent invited presenter at international scientific meetings, with presentations every year at leading conferences such as the Global Spine Congress and the Scoliosis Research Society (SRS) Annual Meeting. He is committed to bringing leading-edge neurosurgical care closer to home while providing compassionate, personalized treatment that helps patients restore function, relieve pain, and improve their quality of life.
