Dr. Tamby grew up in central New Jersey and completed medical school at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, followed by internal medicine residency at Boston University Medical Center. Her multicultural upbringing has fostered a particular appreciation for the cultural and social factors that influence patients’ experiences with healthcare. During her medical training, she developed an interest in global health and had the opportunity to work with underserved and diverse patient populations. Following residency, she practiced in New York City before joining the Division of Hospital Medicine at the University of Rochester. Dr. Tamby is committed to providing comprehensive, evidence-based medicine while taking the time to understand each patient as an individual. Her experiences working with patients from a wide range of backgrounds have reinforced her belief in accessible, compassionate, and patient-centered healthcare. She strives to build trusting relationships with her patients and partner with them to develop individualized treatment plans that reflect their health needs, values, and personal priorities.
