Allison M. Taro (Hitchcock), PharmD, AAHIVP receiver her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from St. John Fisher College, Wegmans School of Pharmacy. Allison M. Taro (Hitchcock), PharmD, AAHIVP receiver her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from St. John Fisher College, Wegmans School of Pharmacy. She completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency and a PGY2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. She began her career as an Infectious Diseases Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at UPMC Central Pa. in Harrisburg, PA. She subsequently returned to the Rochester, NY where she currently practices as a Clinical Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Specialist at the University of Rochester Medical Center.

Dr. Taro serves as a preceptor for APPE students and PGY-1 and PGY-2 pharmacy residents. Her professional interests include HIV pharmacotherapy and resistance, antimicrobial allergy assessment, and stewardship-focused research. She is also an active member in the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists (SIDP).
