Betsy provides direct care to children with diabetes. Patient care responsibilities include: inpatient education of newly diagnosed children; outpatient management via phone and outpatient visits; and case management including interaction with other disciplines including schools.
Prior to this position Betsy worked as a nurse practitioner in pediatric primary care for 17 years.
Her areas of interest include care of children with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, obesity prevention, use of insulin pumps and sensors, and motivational interviewing. .
