She completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Rochester, where she received the Morgan and Young teaching awards. After residency, she worked for 3 years as a full time internist for Fallon Clinic in central Massachusetts. She and her husband returned to Rochester after he completed his cardiology fellowship in Massachusetts. She works part time with the Rochester Internal Medicine Associates.
