Biography

Professional Background

Dr. Lang has been an internal medicine hospitalist at the University of Rochester since 2000. She is the Senior Associate Division Chief for Hospital Medicine and Director of the Hospital Medicine Faculty Development program. She is the inaugural Director of Meliora in Medicine, a 2-year course and 4-year thread throughout the medical school curriculum. She directed the Medicine Clerkship for 13 years and is a past president of Clerkship Directors in Internal Medicine. Dr. Lang co-led the development of the Aquifer Internal Medicine and Aquifer High Value Care national on-line virtual patient courses and currently serves as Academic Director of Assessment of Clinical Decision Making at Aquifer. Her research interests focus on medical education, including the teaching and assessment of clinical reasoning, virtual patients, and faculty development.
