Maureen started her career working in the Auburn Hospital Emergency Department. She moved to the Rochester area in 2005 and owned and op...
Maureen McRae, MD attended SUNY Upstate Medical University for her medical degree and completed her Family Medicine residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse. Maureen started her career working in the Auburn Hospital Emergency Department. She moved to the Rochester area in 2005 and owned and operated an urgent care here for 12 years. After volunteering at a comfort care home where she cared for patients in the last days to weeks of life, she decided to further her medical education after two decades of practicing medicine by completing a Hospice and Palliative Care fellowship at the University of Rochester. Maureen joined the Highland Hospital team in 2022 providing both inpatient and outpatient Palliative Care services.
