Professional Bio

The University of Rochester Medical Center welcomes Dr. Christina Cellini as an Assistant Professor of Surgery. A native of Roslyn, New York, Dr.Cellini earned her bachelor of science degree from Cornell University, School of Agricultural and Life Sciences where she graduated with honors and her medical school degree from Weill Cornell Medical College in New York.

Prior to joining URMC, Dr. Cellini completed her residency in general surgery at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Medical Center. In addition, Dr. Cellini completed a colon and rectal surgery residency at Washington Univerisity in St. Louis and a research fellowship in GI motility at Weill Cornell Medical College.

Dr. Cellini is American Board Certified in general surgery and is licensed in the states of Missouri and New York. In addition to being the recipient of numerous awards and honors, she has authored a wide variety of publications and has presented at national meetings. Dr. Cellini is a member of American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.
