Patient Care Bio
Dr. John G. Ginnetti is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon, specializing in both primary and revision hip and knee replacement surgery. He also has special interests in young adult hip preservation and arthroscopy. Dr. Ginnetti joined UR Medicine's Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation and the Evarts Joint Center at Highland Hospital as an Assistant Professor in 2012.
A native of Buffalo, NY, Dr. Ginnetti earned his medical degree from the University of Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Allegheny General Hospital. Following his residency, Dr. Ginnetti completed a fellowship in Adult Reconstruction and Young Adult Hip Preservation at the University of Utah.
Dr. Ginnetti is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a resident/fellow member of the America Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons and has research interests in patient outcomes following hip and knee reconstruction and hip preserving surgery.
