Biography

Professional Background

Dr. Rozario grew up in Rochester, NY. She completed her undergraduate studies at SUNY at Buffalo and subsequently earned her Master of Public Health degree from New York University. During her graduate studies, she simultaneously worked on multiple genitourinary oncology clinical trials at Weill Cornell Medical Center and eventually at Northwestern University Medical Center, where she collaborated with several oncologists to develop and implement multiple solid tumor clinical trials. Her love for public health ultimately brought her back to Manhattan, where she was a clinical research scientist at New York City Department of Health. She implemented a citywide self-blood pressure monitoring program through 60 primary care offices within high risk neighborhoods in NYC to improve hypertension control. Through this work, she confirmed her longtime interest in medicine and subsequently moved to West Virginia for medical school. She was happy to return to her hometown to complete her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Dr. Rozario was a hospitalist at both Strong Memorial Hospital and Highland Hospital prior to completing her fellowship in Allergy & Immunology at URMC. Her interests within medicine include quality improvement, medical education, and clinical research. She has a special interest in drug allergies and is working on an institutional initiative to de-label low risk patients with penicillin allergy label. Dr. Rozario is an avid traveler who also enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with her family, especially her nephew.
