Dr. Gentile's areas of clinical interest include:
•Male Sterilization (vasectomy)
o Dr. Gentile is one of the highest volume performers of vasectomy or male sterilization in Monroe County
•Male Sexual Dysfunction (Erectile Dysfunction, both medical and surgical management)
o Dr. Gentile is one of the largest volume implanters of urologic prosthetics for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in New York State.
•Peyronie's Disease (penile curvature)
o Dr. Gentile was the first urologist in Monroe County to employ Xiaflex in the management of penile curvature refractory to other treatments

The experience seemed impersonal. Looking at my responses to the very long pre-exam questionnaires and drawing conclusions that didn't seem useful to me. Referred is statement that I supposedly made once that I didn't and wouldn't have made in the context of the subject we were discussing. Scheduled another appointment for six months to do the same again. I may cancel it.

Dr Gentile was professional, thorough, obviously knows his stuff, and answered my questions but seemed a little cold in bedside manner & I did feel a bit rushed. Not uncomfortable, but a but hurried. This is new territory for me so I wasn't practiced in what to ask & how to interact. I'll be better prepared for the next visit in [...] now that I kind of know what's going on. I would have liked a little more interaction, time to think before responding & asking questions. As I said, new territory for me.

Doctor provided what seemed to be a standard speech about the procedure, which was all basic information that most educated people should already know. That was fine, but it was all information that I already knew, and I would have preferred to spend the very limited time we had discussing more "advanced" concerns and questions, but the doctor wanted to get through all his info to me first. When I did have a chance to ask questions, his answer was very dismissive, and he seemed to be in a hurry to get on to his next appointment, so It seemed like there was no time for further discussion.
