She earned her undergraduate degree in 1996 and her medical degree in 2000, both from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She completed her pediatric residency at the Golisano Children's Hospital at Strong, where she served as chief resident. Dr. Dovichi is a board certified pediatrician and a fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics. In addition, she is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Rochester Medical Center. She enjoys teaching University of Rochester medical students and precepting pediatric residents. One of Dr. Dovichi's cherished professional moments was receiving the Outstanding House Officer Teaching Award during her chief resident year. Dr. Dovichi believes in the importance of communication and education in her practice. Dr. Dovichi was honored with the Patient's Choice Award in 2012 and 2013. She is the Medical Director for the new Renaissance Academy Charter School of the Arts. Dr. Dovichi greatly enjoys seeing newborns at both Strong Memorial Hospital and Highland Hospital. She is associated with Strong Memorial Hospital, Highland Hospital, and Rochester General Hospital. After enjoying Rochester city living for 10 years, Dr. Dovichi now resides in Lima with her husband, sons, dog, and their back yard chickens.
