Biography

Dr. Novak is originally from Cleveland, Ohio. He attended college at The Ohio State University, graduating with a degree in Molecular Genetics. He continued his education at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, receiving his medical degree in 1999. Dr. Novak then moved to the University of Rochester for Internal Medicine residency training. He joined the medical school faculty of the University of Rochester as a Hospital Medicine attending physician in 2005. Dr. Novak has since served as a Hospitalist Clinician Educator, caring for medically complex inpatients while teaching aspiring medical students and resident physicians. In recent years he has helped implement teaching of point-of-care ultrasound skillsets among residents and faculty.
