Dr. Hernandez brings vast experience previously holding the positon of Associate Physician at DuPage Medical Group Ltd., Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Hernandez is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. She completed her residency through Presence Saint Joseph Hospital and her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine with Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. She has presented and published on topics related to podiatric care and surgery. Dr. Hernandez is native in both English and Spanish languages. As a Research Associate for the University of Rochester, Dr. Hernandez worked in Rochester’s inner city to decrease asthma symptoms among school-aged children. In doing so, she saw the need for Podiatric care within the Hispanic community. Dr. Hernandez’s passion to help the Hispanic community, particularly that diabetic patients receive adequate podiatric treatment, remains her primary reason for receiving her DPM.
