She received her nursing degrees (BS, 2004 and MS Family Nurse Practice, 2005), from the University of Rochester School of Nursing. Mita Moorthi, FNP is a board certified nurse practitioner in the UR Rheumatology Clinic. She received her nursing degrees (BS, 2004 and MS Family Nurse Practice, 2005), from the University of Rochester School of Nursing. Prior to joining UR Rheumatology, she worked as a Nurse Practitioner in a private practice specializing in conservative treatment of spine related conditions and pain management.
Ms. Moorthi currently sees adult patients with all rheumatologic diagnoses. She has special interests in rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus. Her focus is on improving patient’s quality of life and compliance with treatment plans, through patient and family education about the disease process and their treatment options. She is also interested in clinical trials conducted in the Division of Rheumatology.
