About Me

Dr. Jennifer Nguyen received her medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in 2012. Dr. Nguyen then completed her Internship and Residency in Pediatrics at Harbor UCLA Medical Center in 2013 and 2014, respectively. She then completed her Residency in Neurodevelopmental Di...
Dr. Jennifer Nguyen received her medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in 2012. Dr. Nguyen then completed her Internship and Residency in Pediatrics at Harbor UCLA Medical Center in 2013 and 2014, respectively. She then completed her Residency in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities at Boston Children's Hospital/Harvard Teaching Hospitals in 2018.

Dr. Nguyen is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Neurology and Pediatrics at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. She has joint appointments in the Divisions of Child Neurology and Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics.

Dr. Nguyen's clinical interests are in caring for children with neurodevelopmental disabilities such as cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, Rett syndrome, and spina bifida. Her research interests include exploring the differences in sleep in children with autism spectrum disorder, care coordination for behavioral, learning, and mental health comorbidities for children with epilepsy, and quality improvement projects.

Dr. Nguyen is active in medical education at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. She serves as the Associate Program Director of the Child Neurology Residency. She also serves as a Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Leader.
