Biography

Dr. Anna De Benedetto is an Associate Professor of Dermatology at the University of Rochester Medical Center (Rochester, NY). After completing her medical school and dermatology residency in Italy, Dr. De Benedetto moved to the United States to continue her training in dermatology and pursue a career as a clinician scientist. Her research focuses mainly in the area of Atopic Dermatitis and investigating the cross-talk between skin barrier and immune system. Being able to translate clinical challenges to research questions and to bring it back to the patient is her major goal. Dr. De Benedetto is the Director of the dermatology clinical trial unit at the University of Rochester Medical Center, overseeing several cutting-edge trials with the goal of providing patients with therapeutic opportunities while continue to learn more about disease pathophysiology.
Dr. De Benedetto will be seeing patients at URMC - College Town, Dept. of Dermatology. In addition to general medical dermatology, Dr. De Benedetto sees adults and pediatric patients with Atopic Dermatitis (eczema).
