Dr Edwards grew up in Farmington, NY and graduated from Victor Senior High School in 1999. She then graduated Cum Laude in 2003 from Lafayette College. In 2008 she obtained her medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine where she was also inducted into the National Osteopathic Scholastic Honor Society.

Dr Edwards is a board certified pediatrician and a fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has also completed a training course in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry for Primary Care Physicians and participated in the ECHO Autism Study.
