At one point, he looked at his watch while I was talking with him. It made me uncomfortable, and that he was done listening.

Dr. Crane listened to me discuss my health issues - He seemed understanding and supportive. Then he left the room and came back with a packet of information and said this is what I think you have - He didn't go over the packet very well. He didn't discuss why he thinks I have particular problem. The packet is more helpful than the visit to see him.

Dr. Crane listened very carefully to my concerns about my situation, addressing items he could directly help me with, and consulting quickly with others in the practice for further follow up. This resulted in immediate referrals which are already underway.

Dr. Crane seems competent, I trust his professional ability and opinion. He spent a majority of his time typing on the computer and looking at the information on the computer, which I understand, but I would have liked a little more direct face-to-face interaction. I realize the options are limited regarding treatment, but this is new to me. A little more personable approach would have been appreciated.

This was my 4th visit with Dr Crane. I must say my impression of him improved each time I saw him. I appreciate his expertise. He remembered a personal event I had shared with him previously unrelated to my health. That made me feel like he saw me as person, not a patient with hearing loss.

Dr Bauer, my audiologist , immediately put me at ease and was so kind and encouraging! She went over results and explained that Dr Crane would cover my opinions when I met with him. (I saw her before lunch , broke for lunch and headed back for Dr Crane.). Dr Crane was very prompt, and patient with mine, and my husbands questions. We were quite impressed with the entire experience.

I had high expectations for this visit with Dr. Crane who was highly recommended. He barely asked me any questions about myself and my condition. It was as if he had already decided how to "treat" my problem before trying to troubleshoot or identify root causes. He treated my disease, he did not treat ME or my own personal symptoms or issues. He even told me to not bother with completing all of the paperwork that the receptionist had given me to fill out, as I was only half way through completing when he came into the room. That is how little he cared about my personal symptoms. Highly disappointed with this office visit and Dr. Crane's general attitude toward me, his apathy and his lack of being willing to explore possibilities to help me. I left feeling defeated and extremely disappointed. I will never ever be back to this office.

Appointment was for a future medical procedure. Which was discussed in depth. I arrived with a current medical problem that I was being treated for that he diagnosed as being unrelated to my future procedure. He explained what he thought my current condition was caused by and proceeded to treat my current condition. I am so grateful he relieved the severity of my discomfort. Very thankful he took it upon himself to come to my aid outside of my scheduled consultation. What a great Doctor!

The Provider seemed almost indifferent to my visit? "Why are you here?" Reviewed my hearing test results but provided no assessment. Didn't speak at all to future path. Hardly spoke at all. Only gave short answers to my questions instead of expressing any interest in my concerns or initiating further discussion. Seemed to be glad when the visit was over, almost like he had somewhere else to be. Very discouraging.

I was disappointed with this visit. The physician informed me that there is no data on the cause of my condition, and therefore no treatment unless it gets worse. There wasn't more information offered, and twice now the intake nurse forgot to give me an informational pamphlet she said she'd give. I came from another city to see this physician; I was expecting more. I left feeling frustrated and let down.

[...] Keep in mind that I have only seen Dr. Crane twice, both instances being a year and a half apart from each other. I had a similar impression from the first appointment I had with him in early 2021, but I wanted to try having him a second time to see If that Impressions weren't just the product of a one-off bad day for this provider. My first impressions were confirmed, and so next time I visit I will be scheduling with a different physician. I will describe the second most recent visit since it encapsulates the problems I saw in both visits well: My visit with Dr. Crane felt extremely rushed. His body language throughout the visit was probably the most unwelcoming I've ever encountered among medical staff before. It's hard to put it to words and I wish I could give a clearer description of what I saw. I know well that the system puts doctors at a disadvantage when they are forced to stare at their computer screen while talking to the patient, but the unwelcome sense I got went beyond even that. After telling him my concerns, he described a little bit of his thought process concerning exactly ONE of the points I brought up, then suggested prescription medication as a solution to that one concern, and asked If I wanted to pursue that. After I declined, he then proceeded to log out of the medical chart and hand me a piece of paper as he stood up to leave. It was then I had to jump in with more direct questions to ensure that I had at least some feedback about all my other concerns... He sat back down, and only then I was able to get any comment about what other issues I brought up. I am very glad I advocated for myself in that moment, because as it turns out he typed In a whole new disorder of some sort Into my chart without informing me that he did so - said disorder being the thing he *thought* I might of had and offered the prescription medication for previously. Not knowing the consequences of having a whole new disorder on my chart (he also admitted to not knowing the consequences), based off of what appeared to be a best guess from one or two sentences I said about my health, I asked him to remove It. In terms of the other concerns I tried to tell him the first time and pressed again on the second time, he admitted that he had no clue what one of them could mean. Which I am completely fine with because medicine isn't some magical cure and doctors don't know all there Is to know of the human body - I just wish he had said so at first instead of communicating absolutely nothing about that concern. When he did answer, I felt that he did a good job of being clear, but the answers were very brief. I felt the need to ask more questions to get more information out of him since I can't read minds. Overall, it felt like I communicated all the things about my ENT that I was concerned about since the last visit, but he only chose to respond to one of those points and disregard the rest. I was getting the sense that I was wasting him time while the work day was ending in the next hour. Which definitely sucked because I waited weeks/months for this appointment only to have the opportunity potentially taken away because the doctor wanted to get rid of me as quickly as possible. I am very glad I had my questions prepared and written down, and that I stood up for myself, otherwise that opportunity to see a medical professional about the issues I had really would have gone entirely to waste and I would have waited months for nothing. [...] My appointment was scheduled for 4:15pm, and I was waiting in the check-out line at 4:10pm. I was able to start the appointment with him early, nonetheless, I have a suspicion (that might be totally wrong) that this highlights a bit of how extreme the rush was.

He talked more to my husband than myself when I'm the one he should have been explaining to. He spoke on my deaf side so I heard none of what he explained and my husband couldn't reiterate anything because he is [...] not a Healthcare worker unlike myself, which dr crane didn't know but still. I'm the patient regardless of my knowledge I should have been the one he explained everything to from start to finish. I do know a little but not everything and that was frustrating especially because Dr crane didn't seem confident which lowered my confidence in any further procedures

Dr. Crane did not seem to take what brought me to his office seriously. He came in laughing and seemed uninterested in what I had to say, asked few,if any questions, and spent only between 5 to 10 minutes with me( a new patient). I was hoping for some insight/information about a condition I've been experiencing (in addition to some hearing loss) - did NOT happen.

Dr Crane appeared to be zoning out when I was explaining symptoms to him. I stopped speaking because he appeared to not hear what I was saying. He was good about telling me the options for treatment when my symptoms begin again. As he described, Meniere's symptoms are individual and do not follow a prescriptive list. He just didn't seem to feign interest when he found out that I knew that it was Meniere's and he could not really do anything to help me during this visit.
