Biography

I enjoy working in the in-patient setting because I like the acuity and managing patients with a focused goal. I also enjoy interacting with the various disciplines and departments within the hospital to provide the most optimal care for my patients.

Professional Background

Dr. Philip is the Unit Director for 4-1600, which is an inpatient unit @ Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York. She is mainly interested in resident education and seeks to incorporate teaching into her daily routine as much as possible. She also collaborates with the nurses and residents to improve communications between the patient, family, and medical team. Dr. Philip received the Patient and Family Centered Top Performer's Award in 2013.

Research

I would like to develop an international program for senior pediatric residents, so they can experience how healthcare is practiced in different systems. If I am able to gain some training and eperience in public health, I hope to make positive contributions to the communities our department will serve abroad.
