Dr. Burris is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Allergy and Immunology. Dr. Burris is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Allergy and Immunology. After graduating with her bachelor’s degree with Honors from Cornell University and her medical degree from SUNY Upstate University, she completed her Pediatrics residency, Chief residency and Allergy and Immunology fellowship at the University of Rochester. Her clinical interests include the multiple presentations of food allergy and allergic disease, particularly in breastfed infants. She is the co-director of the multidisciplinary Pediatric Eosinophilic Esophagitis Clinic. Her research is aimed at understanding how human milk plays a role in the delivery of food antigens to infants and the path to sensitization vs tolerance in the infant.
