Family Medicine, Hospital Medicine

To optimize her patients’ health, Dr. Stermer considers the whole person–mind and body–as well as environmental factors that could affect them. She believes the best way to keep her patients healthy is by keeping all the parts of their bodies healthy. She is also a strong advocate for total family health, encouraging her patients and their families to care for themselves and each other. Dr. Stermer has special interests in mental health and wellness, women’s health and adolescent medicine.

In her free time, Dr. Stermer loves to cook and bake everything from bread to applesauce. She often cans her own fruits, vegetables and jams. Outside of the kitchen she enjoys many types of arts and crafts.
