About Me

Dr. Readlynn works as an academic hospitalist with an interest in hospital throughput and efficiency, patient experience, care of vulnerable populations, and teamwork and communication on interdisciplinary teams. Dr. Readlynn works as an academic hospitalist with an interest in hospital throughput and efficiency, patient experience, care of vulnerable populations, and teamwork and communication on interdisciplinary teams. In addition to being an academic hospitalist, Dr. Readlynn directs the Medicine Acting Internships, a rotation for 4th-year medical students to prepare them for their upcoming internships. She is also the Director of Acting Internships for the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry. She co-leads the Things We Do for No Reason faculty development and resident education series, focusing on high-value care and quality improvement. She is also a physician advisor for Utilization Management. Dr. Readlynn is a member of the inaugural class of inductees of the Academy of Educators.

Outside of the University of Rochester, Dr. Readlynn is a deputy editor for digital media for the Journal of Hospital Medicine. She also serves as Chair of the Academic Program Committee for the Society of Hospital Medicine and is a member of the Program Planning Committee for the Alliance of Academic Internal Medicine. Her interests include the use of social media in medical education, health equity, diversity and inclusion, quality improvement/high-value care, and clinical reasoning.
