In addition to being an academic hospitalist, she is the Unit Medical Director for the Medical Observation Unit, or MOU. Dr. Readlynn is a co-leader of an interdisciplinary team that focuses on quality improvement related to patient flow, mobility and reducing hospital-associated delirium, in addition to providing patient and family-centered care. She is assistant director of the Hospital Medicine Division Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) program, working to improve faculty, resident and student skills in utilizing POCUS, which allows them to extend the physical exam and aid in clinical decision-making. She is the Director of the Internal Medicine Sub-Internship at Strong Memorial Hospital: a rotation for 4th year medical students to prepare them for their internship. Outside of the University of Rochester, Dr. Readlynn is an assessment author and case editor for the Aquifer Internal Medicine online curriculum. She also serves on the Academic Committee for the Society of Hospital Medicine and is a Communications Committee member for the Alliance for Clinical Education, representing Clerkship Directors in Internal Medicine.
