Dr. Readlynn works as an academic hospitalist with an interest in hospital throughput and efficiency, patient experience, and teamwork and communication on interdisciplinary teams. In addition to being an academic hospitalist, Dr. Readlynn directs the Medicine Acting Internships, a rotation for 4th-year medical students to prepare them for their upcoming internships. She is also the Director of Acting Internships for the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry. She co-leads the Things We Do for No Reason faculty development and resident education series focusing on high-value care and quality improvement. She is also a physician advisor for Utilization Management.

Outside of the University of Rochester, Dr. Readlynn is an assistant editor for digital media for the Journal of Hospital Medicine. She also serves on the Academic Committee for the Society of Hospital Medicine and is a Communications Committee member for the Alliance for Clinical Education, representing Clerkship Directors in Internal Medicine. Her interests include how social media can be used in medical education, health equity, diversity and inclusion, quality improvement/high-value care, and clinical reasoning.
