Patient Care Settings

Orthopaedics & Physical Performance, Surgery

I provide individualized care to every patient, tailoring treatment to her patients’ specific needs. I work with my patients to optimize function, eliminate pain, and maintain a healthy, active lifestyle. I pride myself on collaborating with other physicians to achieve optimal results for my patients.

I am a fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in orthopaedic sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, knee and ankle, as well as shoulder reconstruction and replacement. I am extensively trained in sports related knee injuries including ACL and ligament tears, meniscal injuries, and cartilage restoration procedures. I have specialized training and technical expertise in traumatic and degrative shoulder conditions, including shoulder dislocations/instability, rotator cuff tears, and treatment of shoulder arthritis. I treat a full spectrum of musculoskeletal injuries in athletes of all ages with a special interest in meniscal and cartilage repair/restoration and pediatric athletes.

I continue to stay on the cutting edge of orthopedic sports medicine including the use of novel techniques and implants. Along with my commitment to providing outstanding patient care, I strongly believe in the importance of advancing the field of sports medicine through involvement in research, leadership, education and advocacy. I have authored many scientific articles as well as textbook chapters on topics within sports medicine, and have presented her research at national meetings. I have completed the Feagin Leadership Program at Duke University, as well as the American Orthopaedic Association C. McCollister Evarts Resident Leadership Forum and Emerging Leaders Program.
