Dr. Piwoni-Lippa is an experienced optometrist who provides comprehensive eye care with emphasis on ocular disease, contact lens, senior care, dry eye, and co-management with ophthalmology subspecialists. She is well-respected in the Rochester region, with more than 20 years of experience working in private practice in Greece. She enjoys seeing a wide range of patients, from tweens starting with contact lenses to seniors navigating age-related eye disease.

Dr. Piwoni-Lippa is a native of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of Wisconsin. She then completed her optometry training at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She arrived in Western New York in 2001 and has been providing routine and complex optometric care since. As a former associate of a local specialty ophthalmology practice, she is adept at co-managing patients with ophthalmologists and primary care physicians. The provider was abrupt and rude the entire visit. When a patient is describing how they have been treating an illness (as instructed by another URMC provider), you don't speak over the patient and say, "Nope! Nope!". The entire visit continued in this vein. She did not answer my questions; she showed no care for my pain and discomfort. [...] Rarely have I had such poor care. If I need follow-up care, I will go elsewhere, and I will most certainly warn others to avoid this provider.

Went to the point of showing me of what is going on in both my eyes and explained what could changed and when to call. She and the other physicians assistance were excellent.
