Biography

Celeste Schepp D'Amanda received her master's degree in genetic counseling from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health and National Human Genome Research Institute joint training program in January 2017. After graduating, she provided genetic counseling and facilitated genetic testing for patient-participants seen in the Ophthalmic Genetics and Visual Function Branch of the National Eye Institute in Bethesda, MD.

Ms. D'Amanda is currently a full-time genetic counselor in the adult general genetics clinic at the University of Rochester Medical Center. She works with patients and providers to maximally utilize genetic testing in evaluating possible underlying genetic causes for a variety of different health conditions. She counsels patients to promote adaptation to risks, conditions, and familial implications.
