Dr. Wagner grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, IL. For her undergraduate education, she attended Yale University, where she majored in Biomedical Engineering. After graduating, she returned to the Chicago area and worked at the Northwestern University Center for Innovation in Global Health Technologies, where she developed point-of-care diagnostic testing devices for use in resource-limited settings. While working with an interdisciplinary team of engineers, molecular biologists and physicians, she was drawn to the clinical side of healthcare. For medical school, she attended The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, where she received her MD degree. She completed her Internal Medicine internship and residency training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. She was thrilled to join the Hospital Medicine Division at The University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital, where she has worked as a hospitalist since 2019.
