Neurological Rehabilitation Program

SCI clinicOur Neurological Rehabilitation program aims to help those affected by a disease or injury to an individuals’ neurological system.  Our physicians are specialists in rehabilitation of neurological conditions such as stroke, spinal cord disease/trauma, and brain injury.  Our physicians are part of a greater team consisting of physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, neuropsychologists and more.  With our team-based approach, our goal is to optimize your physical and cognitive wellbeing so that you can achieve the highest level of independence.  

Some of the conditions we manage include:

  • Stroke
    • Providers will guide the recovery process for function, emotions, thinking and memory problems, language problems, pain or numbness
  • Spinal Cord Disease or Injury
    • Providing regular visits to address common SCI/D including spasticity, Pain, bowel and bladder management, shoulder injuries, and functional loss
  • Moderate to Severe Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
    • Providers will guide the recovery process for function, emotions, thinking and memory problems, language problems, pain or numbness
  • Mild Brain Injury - See Integrated Cognitive Rehabilitation program
  • Spasticity (muscle stiffness) to help regain function and control and reduce the symptoms of spasticity
  • Peripheral Nerve Disease (neuropathy) - Our physicians can help diagnose and treat the painful symptoms of peripheral neuropathy

Our treatment may consist of physical or occupational therapy, medicine prescription, modalities, orthotics / bracing, speech and language therapy, or neuropsychology and referrals to other disciplines when needed.
