Nicotine & Tobacco Treatment Collaborative
Housed within the Department of Public Health Sciences, the Nicotine & Tobacco Treatment Collaborative offers cessation treatment programs serving a 27-County area in New York State.
The Collaborative includes the following:
- Wilmot Tobacco Cessation Program (Francisco Cartujano Barrera, MD, Director)
- Center for Community Health and Prevention, CCHP Cessation Programs (Edith Williams, Ph.D., Director)
- CCHP Cessation Programs - Ongoing group cessation programs, as well as individual counseling for adults
- Well-U sponsors You Can Quit - with professional quit coaches to help staff quit smoking or vaping
- Center for a Tobacco-Free Finger Lakes (Scott McIntosh, PhD, Director)
- Free training and resources for health care settings, on cessation and tobacco treatment policy
- Trains health care system professionals to screen and intervene using evidence-based practices
- The New York State Quitline and Quitsite
- Quitline #: 1-866-697-8487 (866 NY QUITS)
- Offers free Nicotine Replacement Therapy and one-on-one telephone counseling
- Web-based support includes information about vaping, and support for parents
These programs cover a 27-County catchment area in New York State, offering evidence-based services to help people stop smoking, vaping, and using other forms of tobacco-products.
