Submit Your Image and Have it Featured!
The Center for Advanced Light Microscopy & Nanoscopy (CALMN) is hosting its annual imaging contest! It's time to show off your informative, beautiful, or weird images from the past year. Winner will receive swag and bragging rights!
Winners in four categories will be announced in January 2026. The four categories are:
Most Informative: shows some cool science or application of a new imaging technology/advancement.
Most Beautifulest: very nice to look at with nice colors or design elements, may or may not have any scientific merit.
Oddest or Most Surprising: a category for those unusual images that unexpectedly spell out a secret message or look exactly like your favorite celebrity.
People’s Choice: a select group of images will be posted on LinkedIn for the "whole world" to vote on!
Submissions begin now and are due December 19th.
Please include your name, your lab and a brief description of the image. Do not include any sensitive or classified information as these images may appear online and in our newsletter.

- Complete the following form.
- The winners will be announced in January (we will also email you if your image is chosen).
